A breast enhancement surgery, known a Mastopexy or (Breast Lift) is a common procedure that helps raise and reshape sagging breast tissue and repositions the nipple and areola.
• A Breast Lift can be performed with or without a breast augmentation.
• Breast implants or breast fat transfer can help to restore lost volume.
• A Breast Lift alone will not change the size of your breast—only their shape.
During your consultation our providers will examine and measure your breast. At that time, all options and questions can be discussed including a recommended treatment plan. How far the nipple is below the breast crease and the amount of loose skin will determine the type of incision.
An incision is made around the areola, and vertically from the bottom of the areola to the inframammary crease.
An incision is made around the areola and down the middle to the base of the breast, in the shape of an upside-down T.
If you have breastfed children or have flat elongated breasts with low nipples and stretched skin, you are a possible candidate for this procedure.
When you first head home from your surgery, your breasts will be wrapped in gauze bandages and recovery varies but it is likely you will be able to head back to an office job within few days. Your breasts will be a little bruised and swollen and feel heavy and tight. Our providers will give aftercare instructions, to guide you through your recovery.
